Georgia Hunt and Gilbert Blocksidge

Georgia Hunt, 1st Deg, and Gilbert Blocksidge, 1st Deg, of Shipston TKD school have both won a place in the pee wee girls and pee wee boys England squad respectively.

Georgia began her Tae Kwon Do training in 2005 being one of the first students to enrol in the newly opened Shipston club. She has entered national, regional and inter club competitions and won medals at both black belt and coloured belt level, building a reputation as a fearsome competitor for herself in the process.

Gilbert started Tae Kwon Do in 2006 regularly passing his colour belt gradings, many of those with ‘A’ passes, and testing successfully for his black belt in November 2009. Having won medals in all competitions at coloured belt he won his first black belt division medal, a silver in patterns, at the 2009 Regional championships, just 24 hours after passing his grading.

Congratulations to both students on their inclusion to the England squad.
